Facilities Manager
R.E. Phelon Co., a leading manufacturer of aluminum castings for small engines and other products in Aiken, SC, has an immediate opening for a Facilities Manager.
Primary responsibilities include general grounds and building maintenance. Successful candidate must be experienced in HVAC, plant wiring, lighting, security systems, janitorial, contract/vendor negotiations & oversight, as well as office & plant re-arrangement. Experience in waste water preferred.
Position is expected to be on first shift, but candidate must be able to work all shifts and weekends when necessary. Minimum qualifications include 7-10 years of Facilities Maintenance experience and at least 4 years of experience in a leadership role. Any continuing education or training is a plus.

Quality Inspector/Technician
R.E. Phelon Co., a leading manufacturer of die cast products in Aiken, SC, has an immediate opening for a Quality Inspector/Technician.
Primary responsibilities include performing all necessary inspections, audits and tests of production products ensuring conformity to drawings, specifications and inspection procedures; responsible for stopping production and notifying supervisor in case of nonconformance conditions. Must be proficient in measurement & math applications as well as blueprint reading
Other desired qualifications include experience with the use of precision inspection, measuring and test equipment including but not limited to CMM, optical comparator, micrometers, calipers, etc; Certified Quality Inspectors Certification; experience in devising gauging or measuring setups and/or making adaptations to inspection equipment or fixtures.
Qualified candidate should possess a minimum of two to five years of experience as listed.

Maintenance Mechanics
R.E. Phelon Co., a leading manufacturer of aluminum die cast products in Aiken, SC, has immediate openings for Maintenance Mechanics.
Position participates in a Skill Based Pay program. This position provides technical support by maintaining and rebuilding facility/production equipment and machinery. Experience required in maintaining/troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, hydraulic systems, and PLC’s. Must be able to work all shifts and/or weekends.

Die Cast Engineer
R.E. Phelon Company, a leader in aluminum die cast products and ignition and charging systems, has an immediate opening for a Die Cast Engineer in our Aiken, SC facility.
Experience: As part of our Engineering team, the candidate should possess a BSME (preferred) or equivalent and 3-5 years experience.
Team Skills: Candidate must be team oriented, have excellent verbal and written communication skills, have a positive attitude, and be self-motivated.
Desired Technical Skills:
• Knowledge of Tooling and Process design
• Familiarity with Buhler and HPM die casting machines
• Exposure to ABB robotic cells
• Experience with CAD and/or FEA software. Experience with Solid Edge is a plus.
• Courses taken through the North American Die Casting Association are a plus.
Duties:
• Conceptualize and Manage multiple projects from start to finish including fully integrated robotic work cells
• Provide die casting process engineering and trouble shooting assistance to production, tool room, and maintenance as required
• Develop and maintain process documentation
• Work with production to schedule planned and preventive maintenance during down periods.
• Identify and implement permanent corrective actions to solve existing and potential quality problems
• Work with quality engineering, production and the customer to find solutions to quality issues using 8D process
• Support/Implement product, process, and tooling design changes
• Evaluate customer prints or part data and RFQ’s (Request for Quote) as required to formulate a cost estimate for casting, machining, and assembly of products.
Other Requirements: Should be able to work with a moderate degree of independence and have sound time management skills.
Must be able to work any shift.
